The pirates traveled to Blenheim in the rain yesterday to play Wairau White and The Saints. Although they came off second best the team played never gave up and adapted to the weather conditions.
The first game was against Wairau which saw Tony take some amazing catches in the out field and Stu's batting was a stand out performance. Stu took player of the day for that game.
In the second game they came out fizzing and soaked but put up a good performance until the end. Player of the day for that game was Tony.
Next week will see some of the Pirates stepping up to play in the Three Ring tournament here in Nelson. The United team have a tough draw with 3 games on both Saturday and Sunday and play offs on the Monday.
